Hello and welcome to all.
Sadly I have been away from blogging, instead expressing myself more to the DigitalArt community. I’ve been prompted to start this up again through the IAB’s ‘Rising Voice in Social Media’ initiative, which I’m excited to embark upon tomorrow.
I studied English at University and in my final year concentrated on more ‘work-orientated’ modules. (PR, literary editing and a work-based project) These enabled me to develop my writing for an online audience, making use of social media and social networking to maximise the yield of our message when no budget was available. Through this we transformed a University e-zine into a brand that held events in the community and also raised awareness for a local charity.
I then cut my pixelated teeth with the Molson Coors Digital team during the summer of 2008 as the iPint application launched, along with Apple’s iPhone App store. I worked on several projects for Coors Light and Carling, including one with the NFL UK. Since then I have worked in a freelance capacity, up until recently joining Torchbox as an account executive.
Away from work I have recently started learning Japanese in order to visit a friend who teaches English out there, I have just applied to appear on daytime TV favourite ‘Coach Trip’ (more as an interesting experience than anything else…honest) and I’m also a bedroom DJ who loves Scandinavian disco.
